     AlphaLane.com is a totally free site.  We receive compensation from our advertisers when you view ads or shop through AlphaLane.  This allows us to remain a free site.  You will never be obligated to buy anything on AlphaLane and no affiliate advertiser will ever contact you unless you request them to.  

     You will get the same price or better ( depending on our promotions ) on any item you may purchase through our site, as you would buying directly from the advertiser.  AlphaLane has only one purpose when you shop and that is to get you to the advertiser's store.  We do not have anything to do with your transactions when you are at the advertiser's site.  Affiliate advertisers are placed on our display ads, rotator ads and throughout the site.  We will continually update affiliate ads and find new and better displays for them.

     We offer virtually unlimited ad space with up to 2000 characters ( about a page ) per ad. Place as many ads as you wish on AlphaLane. You get up to six pictures ( displayed in full pages ) that you may upload straight from your desk top in seconds. You may set a link on any ad/article to your site  of choice and the link will appear under each picture associated with the ad/article and also on the main display page. Search on any combination of seven categories and a ‘description’ field that lets you find ads by words or phrases. We offer a forum where you may ask questions, answer questions, advertise or just comment on things. We feel that the forum can be a real asset when you need quick help to solve some technical question or give advice on things you know.  The option to grade articles is offered below every accepted article.  When you grade an article the system immediately changes that articles rank which can affect the article rank display on AlphaLane's home page.  We will be displaying the top 10 articles, to date, on our home page.  Please grade an article with responsibility and respect for the author.  Your grade should be an honest assessment of the article.
 
     AlphaLane will not advertise material we consider inappropriate for general viewing audiences. We monitor all ads to ensure the content does not violate our terms. We have installed filters to remind customers of possible language violations. 

     All ads are classified on AlphaLane. Unless you just cannot find a category to fit your ad, then you may place your ad in the ‘Other’ category. If this is the case, please contact us immediately and suggest a new category. We will review your ad and your suggestion to place a new category on AlphaLane. 
 
     All ads run by the month. When you place an ad, you are assigned a PED ( posting expiration date ). This means that each ad has a PED assigned to it. Your PED is 30 days from the posting date. You must update your ads before your PED expires or your ad will be removed from AlphaLane. We do this in order to keep old or outdated records out of our database.  Articles are assigned PEDs as well, but the PED is simply used to show the date of posting, since you do not need to update articles.
     Articles, once they have been reviewed and accepted, will remain on the Article Display page until removed by the owner or by us. Your PED is displayed on the search page and on your update page, so you will always know when to update your ad.  You do not need to have an ad on AlphaLane to remain in our register; however, we may remove registrants who have not used the site after an extended period of time.  If you are removed due to inactivity, you may simply register again to reactivate.

Note:  AlphaLane protects the privacy of our clients by never displaying their email addresses.  All correspondence is secured by our system.  AlphaLane will never give client personal information to anyone except when ordered by law.  We use SSL Security to protect your privacy while personal information is sent or received between your server and ours.  Though we do not require credit cards or any high risk information to use our site, we have, nevertheless, installed the highest security possible to privatize such things as passwords and email addresses.

     Our update pages allow you to edit your personal information, your ad information, articles or your pictures at any time. Simply, go to the main ‘Update Records’ page and select what you wish to change or view and follow the instructions.  To update your PED for any ad, go to ‘Update Records’ choose ‘Ad Information’ and for each ad simply click ‘Update’.  This action will reset your PED to 30 days from the current date.  Remember, if you have any questions, simply contact us at any page and we will assist you.
