| Your pictures are a large part of your ad. That is why we have set up the best image display techniques at AlphaLane. You get to upload six pictures on your ad at any time, using our image upload. These will be displayed in full pages. We set the limit of the picture size at 300k or 300,000 bytes. A 140k picture is generally very large depending upon the type, contrast, bit resolution and color scheme. It has been our experience that around 90k is a good looking picture size. Most scanners and digital cameras have image editors that let you change the size of a picture; however, image editors like adobe and photo plus give you better quality when resizing images. If you do not have an editor and need help with your images, send them to us by clicking here and we will format them for you and place them on your ad, at no charge. Please send your customer id and password with your pictures, to verify your identity. If you do not have a CID ( customer id ) and password, go to 'Get Started' and get setup, after reading this information. Please allow, at least, two days to process your images. We have set the system to accept only jpeg/jpg images, so we ask that you format your picture as a jpeg image. We may extend the image types to other formats ( we are still testing the data speed on large scales ) but currently we restrict images to jpeg/jpg format. To utilize AlphaLane's image upload, simply go to 'Update Records' on the menu bar and follow the instructions. Remember to refresh your ad display page, updates, and new images in order to get the latest results. You must be set up on the system in order to upload pictures, that is, you must have a password and customer ID to use the update pages. Go to 'Get Started' to set up your account on AlphaLane. When you use the image upload, you can move images by deleting them and re-uploading until you get exactly what you want on your ad. Once you get familiar with uploading, it is very simple and fast. You can generally change all six pictures completely in just minutes. Remember, you cannot damage your pictures by deleting or moving them around on your ad since these are copies of your images on your computer. You can delete a picture on AlphaLane and upload it again and again. Just do not delete an image on AlphaLane if you have no copy of it on your computer. You can always right click any picture image and save it on your system. Finally, if you cannot upload or email your images you can always use postal mail to send them to us. We will scan them into our system and put them on your ad free of charge. Again, the wait is a couple of days, minimum, after we receive them. We cannot be liable for pictures that you send us whether lost in mail or some other problem, so please send us copies. Write your information ( as previously stated ) on the back of each picture.
